## About
Yap MCP is a free, open source MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf transcribe local audio and video files entirely on your computer with NVIDIA Parakeet TDT v3. 25 European languages are detected automatically, with optional timestamps and a read-only search of your Yap dictation history. No upload, no API key, no account. Also ships the yap-transcribe command. Works on macOS, Windows and Linux (MIT).
