HOL Guard runs on your own computer and checks what your AI coding agent is about to do — shell commands, secret reads, MCP tool calls, and package installs — before any of it executes. You set the tool-call policy; Guard allows, blocks, or asks. The core is open source under Apache-2.0 and installs with pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init. Teams that want a hosted, managed option can add the optional paid Guard Cloud (freemium). HOL Guard is not a gateway or network firewall, its scans are not a safety guarantee, and it does not claim to stop every prompt injection. Made by HOL.
