## About
Afropus is an African-led AI-powered scholarly index dedicated to making African research more visible, discoverable, and connected. The platform addresses a persistent challenge in academic publishing: valuable research produced across Africa can remain difficult to locate, cite, and access within the wider global research ecosystem.
Unlike journal hosting platforms, manuscript submission systems, or conventional publishing services, Afropus focuses on research discovery and evaluation. It provides a centralised index for African academic journals, research papers, authors, researchers, institutions, and scholarly ideas, helping users find research where it is produced rather than relying exclusively on established global indexing databases.
